What is a Microsoft Office Specialist?

The  ’Microsoft Office Specialist’ stands out as a certified user in the use of Office Products. It guarantees an excellent knowledge level your company can rely on. A ’Microsoft Office Specialist’ in your team will increase the efficiency of the use of Office software.

Becoming a specialist

To become "MOS", you can choose between several exams. Every exam must be taken in a controlled environment (no mobiles, no notes, no contact with other participants, ...) and in a limited time. Synaps is Microsoft Authorized Testing Center since 1999. Here you can find the requisites to obtain the MOS certificate.

The test

The test is taken in a real situation (a test Excel is taken in Excel) and takes about 60 minutes for 60 questions. For every level (Core, Expert) the participant must have a minimal score. Tests can be taken in English using English software (some tests also exist in French text on French software or Dutch text on Dutch software).

When the participant succeeds for 1 or more exams, he/she obtains immediately his/her result. The certificate will be available for download and printing afterwards on an official website.

Target Audience

The MOS-exams are for experienced users f.e. : 

• The daily users of your company that intensively use a software (Core level)
• Internal trainers of your organisation (Expert level)
• Helpdesk employees (Expert level)
• The "super-users" of your department/company (Core or Expert level)
• But also for standard users who want to prove that they have a very good working knowledge of Office products (versions 2003, 2007, 2010 or 2013).
