A course is an important investment towards your employees. In a number of occasions you can receive a subsidy for your investment.
When your company is member of the paritair comitee 218, you can get a subsidy per participant per trainingsday, see the table below:

For half a day trainings the subsidy is reduced with 50%.
The plan as mentioned in the table is the training plan (nl) (version fr) as defined in sector CAO dating 19 September 2011.
Your requestform (version nl) (version fr) needs to be sent at least within 3 months after the training. Accompanied by a detailed program and an invoice containing the participants' names or a global invoice and attest of participation.

The kmo-portefeuille is a subsidy for SMEs for an amount of 15.000 € / yearly that can be used in different areas including training. The subsidy is available to SMEs and professionals that are located in the Flemish Region and belong to the private sector. More information can be found on the site of Agentschap Ondernemen.
The Brussels-Capital Region offers a 50% subsidy for your training budget, there is a minimum of 500 € and a maximum of 5.000 € (and 3 courses/year). The subsidy is only available for courses that are either exceptional or urgent. More information can be found on Les aides de la Région de Bruxelles-Capitale pour les entreprises et les indépendants in French or on Steun van het Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest voor ondernemingen en zelfstandigen in Dutch.
Does your company belong to the food industry? In that case, you can probably benefit from the financial support of the IPV-IFP, which will generally subsidize 50% (or even 100%) of your training expenditure. You'll find more info in Dutch or in French on the IPV-IFP site.
